Trip to Bornos September 2013
Great day out in Bornos, Cadiz on Saturday 26th September. The GCVA together with some friendly clubs from Spain met for display of vehicles in the Recinto Ferial, then were escorted around the town by the local police and ended up by having a wonderful meal. A Great day out for everybody.
On behalf of one of our members:
Alcala del Valle Outing August 2015
This last long weekend the GCVA took part in the 3rd Concentration of Classic Vehicles in Alcala del Valle.
Yet again this year we brought back two prizes: Best Car and Club with most participants! As it was a long weekend some of us decided to spend a couple of days touring the beautiful towns in the area. Photo shows picture of Setenil de las Bodegas with some of the houses and shops built into the mountain side.

Upcoming event: Alcala Del Valle 29th August 2015
Alcala del Valle. If you all remember a few months back I told you all that last year six cars went to this event and we had a fabulous time. Yesterday I received a phone call from them to tell me that they are again organising the event this year on the Saturday 29th August. As there are so…me beautiful towns in the area I was thinking that perhaps some of us may want to spend a few extra days and tour these towns.
My suggestion is that we leave on the Friday, Saturday is the Rally, then we can use Sunday to tour the area and return either Monday or Tuesday. Its your choice and if you want or cannot stay then you come back whenever is best for you. However it would help if you could let me know your intentions so I can plan ahead. There is only one hotel in Alcala and the cost is about 50 euros a night or less if we can get a deal.
So Guys and Girls, have a think and let me know as soon as you can.
2015 International Gibraltar Classic Vehicle Rally
Thank you all for the hard work that you have all put in to make this Saturday the success that it was. Saturday was the culmination of a year’s hard work by all members of the Committee and volunteers. So a big thank you must go out to all of you. A good team pulling together for a common goal produces good Rallies.
Thank you all of you who made it and for those who could not here is the date for next year. You now have plenty of time to put it in your diary and plan for next year. It will be our 15th Rally Anniversary and we hope that you will join us to make it bigger and better. Your committee is already working on this but we would welcome any ideas from the membership as to what we can do to make it better: The date 21st May 2016.
(Individual Car Photos by kind permission of Mark Galliano) Plenty more on our facebook pages from our members too many to put here- please check them out!
