The 2016 Classic car rally was the conclusion of “Larry’s epic journey”, which saw a Lincolnshire man drive a vintage nineteen-twenty-nine Ford all the way from Gibraltar Point to The Rock to raise money for charity, although covered by local media and facebook heavily, in case you didn’t hear about it here are some of the photos he shared of his journey:

“Drive it Day” Sunday 24th April 2016 – run by many car clubs, and this year incorporated into FIVA world motoring heritage year, commemorating a 1000 mile run done in 1900 when 64 cars went from London to Brighton in a test of roadworthiness and reliability. The GCVA did their bit meeting at Europa Point for breakfast and going on a drive around the rock ending up in a local Supermarket carpark.

Sunday 10th April at Ubrique small gathering attended my some of our members. Despite the atrocious weather nearly 60 vehicles attended. Featuring a Beautiful restored 1926 Buick.

a nice short drive to ‘La Adelfilla’ for a very nice (and cheap) breakfast, we even got to see a stage of the Vuelta ciclista Andalucia Cycling tour ‘ruta del sol’ as they whizzed by on the road.
