Drive-It Day 2015 – Sunday 26th April. – CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
As part of this annual national event launched and publicised by The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC), it commemorates the 64 cars that left London on a 1000 mile trial in April 1900. The Association in Gibraltar has also kept up with this tradition for many years.
Drive IT Day encourages owners of all vehicles 25 years old or older, two, three or four wheels out onto the roads for the day.
Drivers and passengers of such vehicles arriving at our clubhouse in Windmill Hill for about 10.30am for a coffee or light refreshment. Coffee and water are free but any other needs to be paid for. At about 11.30 we shall leave Windmill Hill and drive around Gibraltar for about an hour or so. We shall then go to Ocean Village and display our vehicles on the promenade whilst we have some lunch. We decided to go to the newly opened Restaurant, The Ocean, for a selection of tapas for lunch. Problem is we need to know who is coming so we can reserve spaces so please get in touch if you wish to attend the lunch.
